Objective
Leslie Morgan Steiner, a columnist at The Washington Post, hired our PR firm to book a broadcast media tour to promote her new book, Mommy Wars. She only wanted top bookings, and requested a two hour tour of ten minute interviews, back-to-back.
Solution
I was tasked to make this happen, from start to finish. I did extensive research and analysis on what types of media outlets may be interested in an interview, wrote a press release, distributed it to top media contacts, followed up with phone calls to convince producers to book time slots and served as liaison between the guest and media talent the day of the tour.
Results
Based on Neilson ratings, our interviews were estimated to reach an audience of over 2.5 million including interviews with top media outlets in New York, Boston, Dallas and others, as well as National Public Radio (NPR) and the USA Radio Network.
Leslie was pleased with the tour and hired our firm for her future PR needs. She eventually became a best-selling author and is now a regular guest on NPR, as well as the Today Show, ABC, NBC and Fox News.
