IBM New Software Product Launch
108 new contacts and over 560,000 in new revenues in less than one year
Objective
IBM was having great success with their product, Informix Ultimate Warehouse – a software solution that enables customers to accelerate their warehouse queries up to 100x faster. PreferredPartner (now CleanSlate Technology Group) wanted to bundle this product with our technical services and rebrand it as a total solution.
Solution
The first step was to name the product. Analytics Accelerator was born. I created the logo on my own, got the content written, chose the main graphic, and coordinated all tradeshow details.
I arranged for several key company members to attend the unveiling of the solution at the largest big data and analytics conference in the world – IBM’s Information on Demand in Las Vegas, NV. I secured dinner meetings with IBM Channel reps, potential customers and our executives and handled all aspects of the booth setup, including a drawing for a free TV.
Results
We made over 108 new contacts at Information on Demand, including several IBM Channel Reps that wanted to discuss referring direct clients to our company. In less one year, our Analytics Accelerator business helped bring in over $560K in new IBM Software revenue.
